Step 1:- Preheat the oven to 350 Degree Fahrenheit .
Step 2:- Chop 350 grams / 0.77 lb of dates .
Cook the dates with one cup of water ( ~ 3-5 minutes on medium flame ) ,
remove from the flame and add 3/4 teaspoon of baking soda ,
combine well and keep aside to cool completely .
Step 3:- Melt 8-10 table spoon / 1 1/4 stick of butter in a mixing bowl .
Add 3/4 cup of brown sugar / white sugar ,
Mix well with a hand mixer.
add 2 eggs , 2 teaspoon of vanilla essence and a table spoon of vegetable oil . Mix again .
Step 4:- Add 1 1/2 cup of all purpose flour ( maida) and 1 teaspoon of baking powder .
Mix again .
Step 5:- Now add Step 2 "cooked dates" ,
Combine well .
Step 6:- Pour 'the step 5 batter ' into a Ovenproof pan ,
Bake for 42-45 minutes ,
until a '' wooden tooth pick '' inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. Remove from the pan and place in a cooling rack for 10-15 minutes .
