Today has been one or the other of those, if that's possible. While there isn't a whole heap to report to you all here, a lot has transpired. One of which has been meeting with the actor who is set to play Vincent Lee, the villain in this little piece. He has now taken on the heavy burden of finding that dark side and bringing it to the screen in two months time.
He is also going to balance out his cruel role, with one of the two hero roles in Gun Barista. Gun Barista has also found some changes after tonights discussions, one of which was a new planned entry into one of the world's, nay, The world's biggest short film festival.
So a possible change of location for the cafe will be inquired after tomorrow afternoon. The location change became a thought after the aim for this film festival, which requires a certain item in each film submitted to show it was made specifically for it. That, and a generalization that a lot of people watching these films in Sydney will know that cafe, and maybe even have seen it in production.
If it is finalized to make Gun Barista for this festival, the entry deadline is early January, which means shooting will need to be within the next three weeks. Ug, just writing that has made my caffeine levels need perking up. Although it would be interesting in that around the time of airing at the festival, would be about when Untitled Horror Feature should be available on the market.
Course, once again, I'm getting pretty ahead of myself. Maybe I need to finish these scripts off first, before thinking about having it ready in time for a January deadline, which three weeks after that will be the feature shooting week(s), before thinking about it being accepted for that competition...
Oh, and then there's ANOTHER short to be made. While no immediate rush on it, it does happen to be an original zombie short (yes, there is still an original idea in the zombie sub-genre) that I aim to make before the idea heads back into the netherworld of creativity and lands in someone else's mind. Very excited about it too, and (depending on how tomorrow goes) if we shoot at the local cafe for Gun Barista, I think I'll just drag all my other zombies down to the next location and shoot two for one.

See, like I said, a day where not a great deal seems to have happened, but at the same time so much has happened. Hope you can all keep up as we move into pre-production on not just an Untitled Horror Feature, but also TWO short zombie films!!
Tomorrow involves a nice trip to the special effect store, an excellent coffee (probably the best in the country) which may hopefully land us a shooting location, a possible webisode proposition from a friend's friend, and surely a bunch of other all round weird and wired trials and tribulations of being Highly Caffeinated.
