Urban Outfitters have spoken out about the lawsuit concerning photographs of Hailey Clauson. We reported earlier in the week how the company produced a series of T-shirts based on photographs of the then 15 year old model.
According to UO, they had no idea that (A) the photographs were not for use (it's claimed the photographer who sold the image had no rights to do so as the parents were not okay with them and he may not even have had the rights to the image for selling and (B) they didn't know she was underage. UO have worked with this photographer before and have said they had no reason to suspect anything was wrong with the image.
So I guess we wont know who is to blame until this hits the court...
One thing is for sure, this business of featuring underage models (yes I mean THAT Vogue Italia shoot) has to stop. It's sick.
