Selena Gomez's mum was rushed to hospital following a row over Justin Bieber .
Mandy Teefey was said to be "worked up" about the couple reigniting their romance that she needed medical attention, according to TMZ.
Mandy and Selena are believed to have had a "heated" discussion about Justin and Mandy was apparently left fuming after discovering Selena was deadly serious about giving their relationship another shot.
Selena told her mum she and Biebs were having couple's therapy - something which threw Mandy off kilter, say sources.
Doctors were called after a family member requested a welfare check at a LA hotel - she was then taken to hospital.
Selena, 25, and Justin, 23 - who dated on and off from 2011 to 2015 - got back together after the pop princess split from The Weeknd
TMZ reported that Justin pursued Selena for weeks in an effort to win her back.
According to a source tied to the celebrity website, Selena's kidney transplant back in September reminded the tattooed singer just how much she meant to him.
It wasn't easy going for him to get back in her good books, though, with sources saying her family tried to talk her out of reconciling, calling Justin "vile".
The source said: "Selena had to be won over" but that Justin was 'persuasive'.
Seems he really is living by his song Girlfriend, which spouts lyrics such as "if I was your boyfriend, I'd never let you go."
While neither have publicly commented on their supposed reunion - as most stars are won't to do - an insider spilled all to Us Weekly .
They said: "Selena and Justin are back together. Selena and The Weeknd just fizzled and ended amicably - it wasn't dramatic and it wasn't about Justin.
"But Selena always had feelings for Justin. Her friends want her to be cautious because she has been in such a good place post-surgery."
